NANTES, France (AFP) - French club Nantes have referred their row like Cardiff City beyond the transfer increase of Emiliano Sala to Fifa, football's governing body declared upon Wednesday (Feb 27).The clubs are wrangling beyond payment of the increase like the tragic death of Argentinian Sala in an airplane accident in January.Nantes referred the situation to the sport's global body after the Welsh side declined to pay an initial 6 million (S$9.2 million) of the 17 million total fee. "We can encourage that we have time-honored yesterday evening (Tuesday) a claim from FC Nantes against Cardiff City in connection like the transfer of Emiliano Sala," a Fifa spokesman said."We are looking into the situation and thus we have no new clarification at this stage."Cardiff were due to pay the initial 6 million like the transfer had been registered but the club said they wanted to wait for the results of the assay into the accident before transferring any funds. "Cardiff City remains lively to ensuring fairness and accountability like admiration to the succession amongst Cardiff City and FC Nantes, but first and foremost the relevant authorities must be allowed to determine the facts surrounding this tragedy. It is inappropriate to comment new at this stage," Cardiff said in a statement.According to the French club, the 28-year-old's touch from France had been completed and an International Transfer endorse (ITC) issued.As the ITC had been registered and Sala had been declared as a Cardiff player, according to Nantes the Welsh club were obligated to pay for the transfer.MANDATE EXPIRED
